The Rhythm Keepers The Rhythm Keepers, directed by Birda Ringstad, are a tap company based at the Decatur School of Ballet. This group of dedicated tap enthusiasts have been dancing together for nine years. Timing, accuracy of sounds and the joy of dance are the trademarks of this exciting group of tap dancers. |
The Junior Rhythm Keepers The Jr. Rhythm Keepers are the junior tap company of Decatur City Dance, also under the direction of Katie Mues. These young dancers must audition for acceptance to the tap company. The Jr. Rhythm Keepers work hard to perfect their timing and their "chops', as it is called in tap lingo. The respect and affection these dancers have for each other shines through when they step on to the stage. |
The Rug Cutters The Rug Cutters are the swing performing company of Decatur School of Ballet. This enthusiastic group of teenagers are under the direction of Birda Ringstad.
