Birda Ringstad: dancer, teacher, choreographer, producer and director.

She began dancing at the age of 8 at the Art Linkletter Dance Studio in Chicago and has studied with some of the great tap dancers of our time, including Brenda Buffalino, Pat Rico, Al Gilbert, Gregory Hines, and the "master" Tommy Sutton. She has been teaching tap to dancers of all ages and levels since 1986. She enjoys performing, teaching, creating choreography, and also ballroom dancing. She also believes that dancers shouldn't just dance in the studio, they should perform. Shows like "Swinging Night of Tap" are a legacy of Birda's hard work and dedication to giving dancers a chance to share their art and bring joy to some very lucky audiences.
